Doors, Objectives and Dialogs

Quick update from the last weekend!
I got the door and crate interaction system working! You can now open both — doors can swing or slide, and crates pop open as expected. Some doors now use a 4-digit PIN code, a simple key you can pickup before or simply open without any extra input. I’ve already set up sliding doors with keypad access at the research station and the cave. The keypad UI is in, complete with sound effects — small detail, but it really brings it to life.
I also added an objective system! It shows simple tasks and goals in the UI, giving the player some guidance on what to do next. Super helpful for keeping things on track.
On top of that, there’s now a basic dialogue system. Dialogue lines show up one at a time in the UI, and you can click through them with the left mouse button. It’s simple, but it’s a solid step toward adding more story and character moments.
The main menu is also live now — just Play and Exit for the moment, but it’s functional and adds a bit of structure to the experience.
Still early days, but it’s really starting to feel like a game.

Looks great. At first I had the impression you were implementing a sliding puzzle... :D
